What type of massage do you do?I believe in the power of rest and relaxation and our body's own ability to reset with regular bodywork. I specialize in relaxation massage that will have you feeling like you’re floating out of your session. The only deep tissue work that I do is Ashiatsu barefoot massage, but it is still a relaxing session. If you are looking for sports massage, post-surgery massage, or have a chronic injury or issue that you would like specific work on - please see my [referrals page] or give me a call and I am happy to refer you to several amazing, local therapists.

What is cupping?Cupping is a complimentary enhancement that you can add to any massage. It reduces tension in the muscles and multiple layers of connective tissue, increases circulation, and removes stagnant blood- making way for fresh blood flow to bring oxygen and nutrients to the injured or tense area. This service is great for clients who: commute are dental hygienists, nail techs, hair stylists, or those who lean over clients or patients all day. have general back, neck, and shoulder pain work at a desk all day have postural issues or pain prefer or need deeper work

Do I have to get completely undressed? The level to which you undress is completely up to you. If you’re uncomfortable, you don’t have to undress completely; it’s perfectly okay to wear underwear while having a massage. Draping is ALWAYS required during a service and only the areas being worked on will be exposed.
-
Do I need to shave my legs, or get prepared in anyway? To me, a leg is a leg. Shaving is not required, and will not be mentioned during your session. If you are receiving a scrub, shaving is not recommended 24 hours before your appointment. No other preparation is required besides filling out your paperwork and being ready to relax.
-
Should I talk, or stay quiet during my massage? This is your session- some clients find it therapeutic to chat or ask questions during their session. I want you to be as relaxed as possible, so I will not initiate conversation, but I am happy to chat if that's what you are comfortable with.

This is my first massage, what should I expect?First things first- you are completely in control of your appointment at all times. When you arrive for your appointment, we will review your intake forms and discuss any questions you or I have. I will then step out of the room to wash my hands and allow you a few minutes to undress, lay on the massage table, and begin to relax. I will always knock before returning to ensure you are under the covers and ready for me to enter. Throughout the massage I will check in on your comfort. If you are cold, hot, want more or less pressure, want the volume of the music adjusted, etc, please just let me know and I will do what I can to accommodate you. You may notice that while you are lying face down, your nose may get stuffy or runny. This is completely normal and if you need a tissue please ask. After your session I will step out again to wash my hands and allow you a few minutes to gather your thoughts and re-dress. We will meet again in my office to start the checkout process.
